Hi! Ameena here. I’m a freelance portraiture and documentary photographer.
Somewhere on the Via de la Plata, April 2019
In this newsletter, I’m digitally retracing my steps on the Camino de Santiago. From March to May 2019, I walked almost 1000km along the Via de la Plata (the Silver Way) route of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain. I started in the city of Sevilla in the south and walked my way up north to Santiago de Compostela in the region of Galicia. It took me 45 days of walking.
This year has been so different, what can I even say? So I’ve decided to retell the story over a year later along with some photographs I’ve taken as a way to travel and explore this amazing country which I’m lucky to also call home.
